spiritualinspiration:

esus said in Matthew 6, “Seek first the kingdom of God.” That word “seek” is a strong word. One definition is “to require as a vital necessity.” You have to see spending time with God as being vital to living a victorious life because some mornings we think, “I don’t want to get up early. I don’t feel like reading my Bible. I don’t feel like going to church today.” But once you get in a habit and see the benefits of how you feel refreshed and restored, you make better decisions, you’re more creative, you have God’s favor, and then you’ll think, “I can’t afford not to do it. When I don’t spend time with God, I don’t feel right. Something is missing.” “When I don’t go to church I don’t have the wisdom, the clarity, the direction. I don’t have the boost that I need for the week.”

Scripture says, “Seek first.” That indicates that we should take time for God at the start of the day. Don’t give Him your leftover time. Make Him a part of your normal routine. Make Him your first priority. Seek Him first, seek Him earnestly, and watch what He will do on your behalf.

amen.

Three main lessons about following your instincts.
by T.D. Jakes

LESSON ONE:
UNDERSTANDING WHO YOU ARE
To get to the core of who you are, you need to understand what you are. Think about this: giraffes eat from the top of a tree and turtles eat from the bottom. Neither is better than the other, but they don’t relate. A giraffe can’t explain to a turtle their worldview. The point is to eat on your level. If you’re a giraffe, be that. If you’re a turtle or a bear or a mountain lion, be that.

LESSON TWO:
FINDING PEOPLE IN YOUR RHYTHM

In order to get to your instincts, you have to surround yourself with people who believe in those same instincts. Find people in your rhythm. People who honor your inner core. We choose our relationships. Too many people try to change their inner core to adapt to someone else. That’s not honoring your instinct.

LESSON THREE:
LEVERAGING YOUR INSTINCT
Once you follow your instinct, you’ll realize how much more you can utilize it versus learned traits. Start focusing on those natural gifts – the DNA of who you are – when you focus on your instincts, you’ll discover they can lift more than anything else.

spiritualinspiration:

At some point in life we all face hardships. It may be something physically or emotionally challenging. Or it may be a dream or an opportunity that we missed out on. Whatever your difficulty is, don’t let it discourage you from believing in God’s best. The enemy wants to keep you focused on everything negative that’s happened, but don’t let him steal the dreams God has given you. He knows that if he can deceive you into thinking things won’t get better, you’ll lose hope and give up.

There will always be obstacles trying to keep you from becoming all God’s created you to be, but God has given you a promise for good and not harm. He has plans for better things ahead. It’s important to believe God and keep an attitude of faith despite your circumstances.

Choose today to hold on to God’s promises no matter what your situation looks like. Refuse to give up on the plans He has made for your life. God knows what challenges you’ve faced, and He has a way to turn things around for your good. Start thanking and praising Him for what He’s already done and what He will do.

AMEN

Most days I wish I never met you because then I could sleep at night and I wouldn’t have to walk around with the knowledge there was someone like you out there.
